The Real John Feyen… what he doesn’t want the public to see.
John Feyen is running for Larimer County Sheriff, but his history as a Deputy within the organization is quite suspicious.
A lawsuit filed against the Larimer County Sheriff's Office over their handling of a child custody battle sheds light on the types of actions John Feyen deems reasonable. It’s difficult, at times, to achieve justice within the boundaries set forth by the law. But that does not mean the law can be brushed aside in the pursuit of justice. Due process is a right afforded to all citizens, and it means that law enforcement officials must play by the rules. Criminals act outside of the law, which is usually why they are criminals. What is supposed to separate law enforcement from them is adherence to the rule of law. A Sheriff that is willing to venture beyond those boundaries is a threat to the liberty of all his citizens. We cannot make allowances for certain situations or others. Once an exception is made, more will follow. The standard for law enforcement is higher for a reason: those trusted with enforcing the law should not violate it to do so. The lawsuit is as follows:
Stacy Lynne was in a custody dispute over her son Jaden Pappenheim.
Larimer County Sheriff’s Deputy John Feyen decided that the United States Constitution did not matter.
The word “warrant” lost all meaning as he allegedly initiated surveillance on Stacy’s phone. She had committed no crime, yet was treated like a criminal by Sgt. Feyen.
He then further ignored the 4th Amendment when he ordered that a GPS tracker be placed on her car. Again, there was no warrant issued for this.
She was arrested on the same day by Sgt. Feyen, at which point she was threatened with felony kidnapping charges. However, she was never charged. Sgt Feyen said this was, “in the interest of Justice.”
Following her discovery of the GPS device in May of the following year, she was subjected to evasive measures by the Larimer County Sheriff's Office in an apparent attempt to avoid the backlash from their Constitutional violations.
It seems clear that charges were never filed against her because the LCSO believed that the trial would reveal the contempt that John Feyen had for the law in his pursuit of Stacy Lynne.
John Feyen sides with violent BLM rioters.
On June 1, 2020, a protest was held in Old Town Fort Collins, where Assistant Chief John Feyen was photographed taking a knee with protestors, according to the Rocky Mountain Collegian.
Additionally, John Feyen has demonstrated his willingness to side with radical left-wing activists. He bent the knee to BLM rioters in June of 2021, just as riots across the country turned into violent rampages, leaving communities devastated. It is one thing to provide security and engage in meaningful dialogue with your community. It is an entirely different issue when you kneel to the demands of radical activists.
John Feyen is MISSING IN ACTION on your gun rights!
John Feyen refused to complete the official Rocky Mountain Gun Owners questionnaire signaling he will support and enforce unconstitutional laws such as:
“Red Flag” Gun Confiscation laws;
so-called, Assault Weapons Bans;
Standard Capacity Magizine Bans;
Gun Registries, and;
dangerous target-rich ‘gun-free zones.”
REJECT John Feyen when you cast your ballot for Larimer County Sheriff.
